Your gums are critical to your overall health… not just your oral health. Clinical research continues to unfold information about the connection between periodontal health and whole-body health; bacteria that cause gum disease have been linked to medical conditions like heart disease, arthritis, kidney disease, pancreatic cancer, respiratory disease and diabetes. It is also believed to be a factor in pregnancy pre-term delivery and low birth weights.

As part of the treatment planning process, we will conduct a thorough review of your medical history, nutritional habits and lifestyle. We may request information from your physician; it is important that we fully understand your current health in order to understand any special medication or treatment that may be required.

We believe it is essential to consider systemic relationships in our periodontal assessment and in offering treatment options to our patients. Our recommendations will always consider your health and well being as the highest priority.
